The Balm That Does It All

My husband and I have always been active, outdoorsy people. So, it was only natural that we would bring our kids outdoors as often as we could. Parks, playgrounds, streams, camping…

Recently, we took the two older ones on a birding trip at Taman Lembah Kiara in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. We all had such a lovely time learning how to identity the many different birds that call this little sliver of nature amidst the urban jungle.

Unfortunately, we brought back more than sweet memories. While we all got bitten by mosquitos, my daughter reacted especially badly. The bites on her hands and legs quickly turned into angry, red welts by the time we got home. My poor baby was itchy, in pain and so uncomfortable!

Thankfully, as a more seasoned mom, I already have OILEES’ Soothing Seabuck Balm in my arsenal. I call this my multipurpose healing balm for all skin issues. And I really do mean multipurpose! It works on bites, rashes, burns, eczema, heat rash, scrapes, wounds, fungal infection…the list really does go on and on! And it can also be used as a moisturizer.

Sea buckthorn oil, the main component of this soothing balm, is an incredible gift from nature. Derived from the fruit of the Sea Buckthorn shrub, it is rich in vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and four powerful antioxidants. All these make the oil a powerful booster for skin health and healing.

The powerful antioxidants in the sea buckthorn oil helps fight off the effects of skin ageing and oxidative damage, and brightens and firms the skin. The high concentration of vitamin C also makes this oil especially good on scars and pigmentation. Fatty acids repairs the skin and soothes dry skin, delivering a surge of hydration. And to top it off, it has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness and swelling associated with skin problems.

OILEES’s Soothing Seabuck Balm is also formulated with other skin loving oils and vitamins like Shea butter, mango butter, castor oil, Neem seed oil and vitamin E, finished with the slightest hint of our Lavender essential oil. It’s a powerhouse, I tell you!

From one woman to another, trust me when I saw you should have this in
your handbag, baby bag or kid’s bag.

(Note: Products that contain Shea butter and mango butter will have a whitish top layer over time. This is a natural process caused by the solidifications of the butter. Just warm/rub some balm on your palms before applying or apply directly onto skin and rub it in. This does not compromise the efficacy of the product.)
